5 awesome podcast episodes

With the current lockdown, I listen to more podcasts.

I wanted to share a couple of episodes (in French), I liked a lot recenly.

Ilan Abehassera, "Oui are New York" podcast, "#Hors-Serie: Comment les restaurateurs New Yorkais vivent la crise du Covid19" episode.
Ilan interview French New Yorkers who own restaurants. Their life is not easy. This episode is a good reminder that France wellfare state is far from being perfect but it helps a lot in case of big crisis and that we are, by some aspects, pretty lucky in France.
Good luck to the New Yorkers facing covid!

Marie Semelin (Louie Media), "Travail (en cours)" podcast, "Où est passé le temps libre ?" episode.
Jean Viard, sociologist, explains that the time we spend to work lowered a lot in history, but we still have the impression we don't have time. He gives some reasons why. He also explains the new inequities between people able to work from home, work from anywhere at anytime and people obliged to go to a workplace from 9 to 5. He proposes way to limit and compensate these inequities.

Matthieu Stefani, "Generation Do it Yourself" podcast, "#127 Paul Lê - La belle vie - De la résilience, de l'honnêteté et du travail pour réussir big time" episode.
This podcast is my Sunday morning routine.Matthieu is an awesome interviewer. Episodes are long, sometimes more than 2 hours, but it's always a pleasure to listen to them. Paul interview was especially inspiring and moving. I don't know Paul, but he looks like an awesome person, an example of kindness and humbleness. He's the co-CEO of Labellevie, a website selling food in France.

Géraldine Sarratia, "Le goût de M" podcast, "#15 Kiddy Smile" episode.
This podcast from Le Monde interview "stars" in different domains. Interviews quality is often high. I'm not very cultivated and this podcast help to improve. This episode is about Kiddy Smile, a singer and DJ. He's known for a concert at "Elysée" palace that shocked a lot of people. The interview shows a person pretty fragile, humble, kind and intellectual. This is not exactly what you expect if you only know him by the video above. Very good surprise.

Dôn "Nodey" Nguyen Ngoc, "Mutation" podcast, "Ep 7 - L’enseignant à Sciences Po Fabrice Epelboin craint-il les statistiques ethniques en France ?" epidose.
Fabrice Epelboin explains that the fact that ethnic statistics are banned might serve far right movement for next presidential elections. Indeed, centrists movements are kind of hiding a dramatic truth about the lack of equality between people based on their origins. To avoid explosion of the society, they reinforce progressively tracking/spying technologies and police powers. Far right movement might use this to position as the movement that is rejecting this control of the population, this lack of transparency. Other topics are discussed but this one shocked me.
