People want government to solve climate change. Can't happen. Here is why.
In democracies, the ones who have power are the one who gets the most popularity, through voting.
Losing popularity means no longer be elected or worst, being obliged to resign.
People pressure governments to solve climate change.
Solving for climate change can only be done through pretty unpopular strategies: taxing polluting cars, plane trips, taxing industries that will then raise prices, building nuclear plants, building tons of windmills on beautiful landscapes, new norms obliging people to do this or that, etc.
So I rephrase:
People are pressing governments to take unpopular decisions.

People are pressing governments to compromise their propensity to keep elected.
